From Saint-Tropez to the Italian border, the coast the charter industry grew up on.
The Riviera is where the large-yacht charter business was invented, and it still works the way it always has: short days between the bays of Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Antibes and Monaco, anchored off a beach by lunch and alongside a town quay by evening. The Îles de Lérins off Cannes and the Cap Ferrat peninsula are the anchorages everyone comes back to.
The season is dense. Cannes in May and Monaco in the last week of the month set the calendar, and berths in the ports between are booked accordingly, which is one reason many yachts based here spend the peak weeks in Corsica or Sardinia and the shoulder months on the coast itself.
