Crane

A deck crane for launching the tender and toys.

A crane is how a yacht without a garage gets its tender into the water: a hydraulic or electric davit on the foredeck, the boat deck or the transom, rated for the weight it has to lift. The rating is the number that matters, because it decides what tender the yacht can carry. A crane also means the tender lives on deck, in the open, which suits some owners and not others.
